WHY AND HOW WE RAISE FUNDS

The charity assists up to 200 families at any one time and contributes in the region of €500,000 annually in support. This support takes the form of monthly, quarterly or annual annuities as well as crisis grants where appropriate.  In order to do this year on year, we need your support. The three pillars below form the bedrock of how we raise these valuable funds, and provide simple ways for people to contribute to the fund

EVENTS

Our committees of volunteers run many events throughout the year. As well as providing great networking, fun opportunities for us all to get together,  the funds raised at these events provide the single biggest income stream for the charity.

"As old as I am I still count the days to the 1st of every month, and am up waiting for the postman coming with your generous cheque. You have no idea how much that cheque means to me. I feel like a millionaire on the 1st of every month."

"I am overwhelmed with your kindness, concern and generosity. My family and I are most grateful. With people like you and your Organisation, it helps greatly to make the world a better place to live."

From a young widower (Retail Employee) who lost his wife through cancer and was left with 5 young children to care for - he had to reduce his working day to 'Mornings' to care for his children, with a consequent substantial reduction in income.
